Draft in plain language. It describes exactly how the app works today, but it is not legal advice: before opening to real users it must be reviewed by a professional.
Nexjob is a marketplace for remote tech services. This page explains what we collect, why, and who can see it.
Who runs this service
Nexjob is run by Francesco Reale, a private individual based in Naples, Italy. To exercise your rights, or for any question about this notice, write to realefrancesco149@gmail.com.
What we collect
Your email address or phone number and your password, which we never see in readable form. The profile details you decide to add: name, city, description, and a profile photo if you upload one. What you publish: services, requests, keywords, prices. What you exchange with other users: chat messages and any attachments. The ratings you give and receive. Two technical cookies: one keeps you signed in, the other remembers your chosen language. If you write to us from the Help page we keep the message and the email address you give, even if you have no account. If you report or block someone we keep that report, which concerns the other person too.
Why we collect it
Only to make the service work: show your listings to whoever is searching, let two people talk to each other, keep you signed in, and show the reputation earned through reviews. No advertising, no profiling, no selling data to third parties. The legal basis is performance of the contract for everything the service needs in order to work, and legitimate interest for email alerts: we write to you when you receive a message, or when a request matching your keywords appears, and you can switch those alerts off in the settings.
Who can see what
Your name, city, description, published services, requests and reviews received are visible to anyone, including people who do not have an account: the catalogue is public, so that people can see what is offered before signing up. Your profile photo is kept in a public space, so anyone who knows its address can see it: do not upload anything you would not show publicly. Your chat messages and attachments are visible only to you and the other participant: this is enforced by the database itself, not merely hidden by the interface. Your email address and phone number are never shown to other users.
Where the data lives
On Supabase, the service that hosts the database and handles sign-in, on servers located in the European Union. Supabase processes the data on our behalf and has no independent use for it. Emails are sent through Resend and the site is hosted by Vercel: two companies based in the United States, which process data on our behalf (Resend the address we write to, Vercel the IP addresses and the requests to the site). They too make no use of their own.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. You can delete it yourself at any time from your profile: that removes your profile, services, requests, reviews and conversations. Conversations disappear for the other person as well, because a chat belongs to two people and half of it cannot be deleted. One thing is different: a message sent to support stays afterwards, with the email address you gave, because that is what a request for help is made of. Ask us if you want that removed too.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, or object to a particular use. Write to us from the Help page: we reply to the address you give us. If you believe your rights are not respected you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Cookies
Only two, both strictly necessary: the sign-in session and your language choice. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why you are not asked to accept any banner. Your device also keeps your light or dark theme choice, saved by the browser: it is not a cookie, it never travels to us, and it is not used to recognise you.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, we will say so inside the app rather than silently updating this page.
